Its main client is one of the biggest Norwegian ship owning companies based in Bergen, Norway with a global network of operations. The company is looking to recruit experienced and highly motivated candidate to fill in the position of Junior Recruitment Officer.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• College Graduate (Baccalaureate Degree Holder).
• At least two (2) years’ experience in the Recruitment section of any reputable Ship Manning Company.
• Proficient in oral and written communication.
• Possess good interpersonal skills.
• Must be well-versed with the Recruitment Operations of the Maritime Industry.
• Can perform functions related to outsourced recruitment.
• Has an array of connections from the different sectors in the Maritime Industry.
• Proficient in the use of MS Office suite. Responsibilities:
• In-charge of external recruitment for vacant positions for all fleets except Cadets. This includes attending to job fairs, making presentations at industry related establishments and placement of ads.
• In-charge of the Recruitment of Officers and Ratings for the Cement Fleet
• Coordinate with the Crewing Department on new crew and crew promotion requirements/plan.
• Crew assistance for PRC Licensure Examination.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Male or Female
• College graduate, preferably B.S. Computer Science, B.S. Computer Engineering (software) or equivalent.
• At least 1 year in the related field in an IT department of a SEC registered company.
• Proficient in the use of the following:
 MS Office specifically MS Excel.
 Must have a working knowledge in Oracle database, MS SQL, MySQL, SQL Scripting, Visual Basic and Browser/Reporting tools.
 Must be proficient with various programming languages especially in web designing, web development and database application.
 Must have hands on experience in PHP and open source web servers.
 Must have the ability to write, debug and modify program codes, keeping in mind efficiency and quality through process.
 Knowledgeable in JAVA is an advantage.
• Proficient in Systems Analysis and Database design with the ability to create technical documentation.
• Ability to develop applications based on the description of business logic.
• Good communication skills both oral and written English.
• Team player, analytical, result oriented and can work in a service oriented environment.
• Can work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:
• Manage, integrate and document current/developed applications.
• Planning, designing, testing and maintaining developed systems/applications both for office systems and systems onboard.
• Writing a documentation/user’s manual for the operation of the program by system/application users.
• Conducting user acceptance testing to ensure the program can be used easily, quickly and accurately.
• Devising possible solutions to predicted problems and repetitive manual tasks to be developed into new system.
• Creation of customized reports from current and developed applications according to required report.
• Working continuously on IT related tasks internally or third party contacts until job completion.
• Log and track support requests received by the business in the service desk system.
• Other application developer tasks at any time instructed by the IT Management.
