Vice President Business Continuity
at Star Cruises in Pasay
Responsibilities:
• Develops and maintains business continuity plans (BCP) and disaster recovery plans (DRP) and related documentation.
• Oversees the design, development, maintenance and testing of plans for each functional area, including IT systems, building facilities, personnel and vendors in support of all DRP and BCP.
• Performs risk analyses for all related business units and functional areas to identify gaps or points of vulnerability and recommend disaster avoidance and impact reduction strategies.
• Conducts business impact analyses and determine critical business processes for various functional areas, identify acceptable recovery time periods, and establish resources required for the successful resumption of business operations in the event of a disaster.
• Assures information and other critical items required for recovery are identified and properly maintained.
• Establishes disaster recovery testing methodologies; plan, coordinate and execute the testing of procedures in different functional areas.
• Conducts business continuity and disaster recovery training in all functional areas.
• Oversees actual responses and recovery efforts in the event of disruptive events, including 24x7on-call support for any emergency which may require activation of all or part of the business continuity plan.
• Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor\'s/College Degree in Information Management, Engineering, Science Marine Academy as well as specialized in sea training
• At least 10 year(s) of working experience in the field/area of business continuity management in major organizations.
• Must have a proven track record in creating and implementing companywide disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Must have thorough knowledge and understanding of current disaster recovery planning techniques and technologies as well as the methods used in performing risk analyses and business impact analyses.
• Excellent project management and implementation skills.
• Must possess strong inter-personal skills to interface with personnel at all levels within the organization and to deal with outside vendors and partners.
• Must complete postsecondary education from a merchant marine academy or gain 1,000 hours as a deckhand according to U.S Bureau of Labor Statistics.
• Applicants must be willing to work in Newport City, Pasay City.
